Whether it’s disaster recovery, economic development, housing assistance, or community programming, we are committed to supporting Altadena through every stage of redevelopment.

Build the Block Initiative

Build the Block Eaton Fire Recovery Initiative, led by Loveland CDC, is committed to supporting youth, young adults, and families affected by the Eaton Fire through equitable recovery resources, trauma-informed support, and community-driven programming that restores wellness, builds resilience, and fosters long-term stability and empowerment in Altadena and surrounding communities.

Family & Youth Resilience Program

A monthly community-based mental health program, held on Saturdays or Sundays, that blends creative expression, peer support, and family workshops. The program is designed to restore resilience, strengthen family bonds, and equip youth with tools to manage stress and trauma in the aftermath of the Eaton Fire. Launching Fall 2025.

Honey Bunz Inc. Programming

Founded in Altadena in 2017, Honey Bunz Inc. empowers girls across LA County and actively supports young ladies impacted by the Eaton Wildfire. 

HBZ Academy:

A monthly interactive workshops for middle school and high school girls. These workshops will provide a safe, supportive space for young women to build soft skills, confidence, leadership, and wellness practices, while exploring pathways to higher education and community impact.

Pampered & Empowered

Back-2-School Refresh:

An annual event for girls ages 11–18 that blends beauty, mentorship, and motivation to prepare them for success in school and life. Through pampering services, empowerment workshops, academic recognition, and community connection, we uplift the next generation of young queens inside and out.

Youth Empowerment Festival

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Pasadena City Hall, we had an incredible turnout, with over 1,000 families registered. Together, we created a day filled with fun, learning, and support for the young people and families who have been impacted by the devastating Eaton wildfire.
